Alison Hammond proved she’s happier than ever as she celebrated her 51st birthday with a rare and affectionate glimpse into her private life — sharing a loved-up moment with her much younger boyfriend, David Putman.

The pair first met back in 2023, when Alison booked a massage with David, a Russian masseur and model. What began as a chance encounter soon blossomed into something more, with the couple officially going public in April 2024 when Alison shared a series of loved-up snaps on her Instagram page.
Two months later, they made their red-carpet debut together at a Candy Kittens event — joined by Alison’s son Aidan, now 20 — further cementing their status as a serious couple.
Despite the 22-year age gap between them, Alison has been refreshingly candid about why the difference doesn’t bother her in the slightest.
Speaking openly in recent interviews, the ITV favourite has described David as “incredibly mature and sensible” — while joking that she herself is “not at all.”
“Things are going really, really well,” she previously told The Mirror. “He has the most beautiful energy. Everyone feels it when he’s in the room — it’s very rare. I’m so grateful that he chooses to spend his life with me.”
Back in December, Alison admitted she was fully “in love” as she opened up about their Christmas plans and why she has no time for criticism about their age gap.
She explained that while some may notice the difference “on paper,” it bears no resemblance to their real-life dynamic.
“When people call him a ‘toyboy,’ it couldn’t be further from the truth,” she said. “If you saw us together, you’d understand. People have said to me, ‘We get it now.’”
The presenter also revealed the couple are now living together and are perfectly content with the way things are — with no immediate plans to walk down the aisle.
“I don’t need a ring to show my love for somebody,” Alison said candidly, though she added that if David were to propose tomorrow, “it wouldn’t be a no.”
Describing how love has changed her, Alison said: “It makes you more patient. It makes you kinder. You’ve always got somebody you want to care for — and they’re caring for you.”
Looking ahead, the star revealed she’s happy to keep celebrations low-key, saying her ideal birthday or festive plan would simply involve a nice restaurant with David and her son.
Reflecting on their relationship last year in an interview with Good Housekeeping UK, Alison summed it up perfectly: “We fit like a jigsaw. Everything just comes together.”
