General Hospital left us with quite a cliffhanger on Friday, with Marco sitting down to work and Cullum entering Alexis’s office with a knife behind his back. Marco knows he needs to play it cool, but he has no idea that Pascal has made things more difficult for him than he ever imagined.
The anvils kept dropping on General Hospital
Over the last few weeks, it became clear that something was going to go very wrong with Lucas (Van Hansis) and Marco’s (Adrian Anchondo) plans for Marco to get a vial of Britt’s (Kelly Thiebaud) meds. One clue was how much Lucas and Marco declared their love for one another and planned for their future away from Wyndemere.
After meeting at the Port Charles Grille, they even began looking at real estate listings so they could get their own place and get out from Marcos’ father’s criminal thumb. Lucas still worried about the risk that Marco was taking, but Marco assured him that if he got caught, Sidwell (Carlo Rota) would protect him. He believed in his father’s love, and maybe rightfully so. He just didn’t count on Cullum deciding to take matters into his own hands and leaving Sidwell out of the loop.
When Cullum (Andrew Hawkes) caught Marco at the Wyndemere safe and Marco explained that he thought it was his turn to administer Britt’s meds, Cullum knew something had to be off. Perhaps Marco should have counted on Cullum questioning Pascal (Marc Forget) and Pascal telling Cullum that they had already discussed the med schedule earlier. When Pascal checked the meds the next day and found two vials missing, he immediately reported the discrepancy to Cullum.
The end of Marco?
While there is no mention of Marco in Monday’s teasers and video preview, Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) is set to make a gruesome discovery on Tuesday. Will we see Marco try to reason with Cullum, only to be attacked before a commercial rolls in? Or will Marco not even be a thought as Lucas deals with Britt and Carly (Laura Wright), and Alexis deals with Jason’s (Steve Burton) apparent arrest, initiated by Cullum?
Will Alexis walk into her office on Tuesday to discover that her junior associate has been brutally stabbed? Will she be able to get him to General Hospital in time to save his life?
If Marco is killed, this will change the game for Sidwell, who will blame himself for his son’s death. But will he also lash out at others? Would Sidwell even suspect Cullum and Pascal had something to do with this or is he about to jump to the wrong conclusion and pin this on Sonny?
And what about poor Lucas? He finally found the love of his life, but asked him to do something so dangerous that it could have cost that man — and Lucas — everything.
