Felicia (Kristina Wagner) broke it to Maxie (Kirsten Storms) that Nathan (Ryan Paevey) is alive, while Obrecht (Kathleen Gati) informed Nathan and Britt (Kelly Thiebaud) that Maxie woke up. Later, Britt asked Jason (Steve Burton) to meet at their secret cabin. Spinelli (Bradford Anderson) confided in Jason about his worries that Maxie will leave him for Nathan. Michael (Rory Gibson) and Jacinda (Paige Herschell) and Ric (Rick Hearst) and Elizabeth (Rebecca Herbst) all went on Valentine’s dates at the hatchet range. Sidwell (Carlo Rota) took out Ava (Maura West) and Lucy (Lynn Herring). Lucas (Van Hansis) and Marco (Adrian Anchondo) argued over everything Lucas learned.

Laura (Genie Francis) asked Alexis (Nancy Lee Grahn) if she would take Drew’s (Cameron Mathison) place in Congress, while Sidwell suggested to Willow (Katelyn MacMullen) that she take her husband’s place. Ric (Rick Hearst) wondered about ADA Turner’s (Nazneen Contractor) connection with Sonny (Maurice Benard). Lucas vented to Carly (Laura Wright) about what he overheard from Marco. Chase (Josh Swickard) suggested the detectives search Michael’s (Rory Gibson) keys, so Nathan arrived with a warrant.

Nina (Cynthia Watros) encouraged Willow to take Drew’s seat in office. Spinelli confided in Brook Lynn (Amanda Setton) about the possibility of Maxie choosing Nathan, and Brook Lynn assured him not to go down without a fight. Nathan worried about whether he should go to Maxie’s welcome home party, then he and Dante learned that Michael’s keyring had a key to Drew’s house. Lulu (Alexa Havins) vented to Laura about her feelings for Nathan. Kristina (Kate Mansi) encouraged Cody (Josh Kelly) to finish Molly’s (Kristen Vaganos) book before making assumptions, while Molly and Suzanne (Jen Ray) encouraged Alexis to take Drew’s seat.

Nathan called Michael in for questioning, but when Wiley (Viron Weaver) heard what was going on and mentioned to Ric that Chase had his dad’s keys, Ric informed ADA Turner. Everyone welcomed Maxie home. Lulu reunited with Maxie. Later, when Maxie wanted some air, she ran into Nathan. Alexis visited Drew to brief the situation before allowing Scout (Cosette Abinante) to see him, and Drew attempted to blink morse code at her, but she didn’t understand.

When Lulu discovered an old photo of Luke (the late Anthony Geary), Tracy (Jane Elliot) helped her mourn her dad by paying off a bartender to have the Brown Dog all to themselves. Sonny spotted a poker chip he’d given Donna (Scarlett Spears) and reminisced about Luke with Carly. Laura was reminded of Luke and thanked him for the love of a lifetime. Everyone gathered at the pier to send lanterns into the river to honor Luke.
