The Young and the Restless spoilers for Thursday, April 16, 2026, reveal Jack leaning on Nikki, Adam forcing Matt Clark’s hand, and Sally’s patience being tested.
What’s next on The Young and the Restless

Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman) is going to lean on Nikki Newman (Meldoy Thomas Scott) in Thursday’s episode. The two have always had a strong friendship. The first time Jack married Nikki (to get leverage against Victor, hoping to win Jabot back), he ended up falling in love with her! The couple might still be together if Nikki hadn’t lost their son. Well, there was the fact that she was still in love with Victor Newman (Eric Braeden), too!
There’s a bit of a conundrum going on here. The more Nikki supports Jack, the angrier Victor becomes. And the more furious Victor gets, the more he takes it out on Jack, which results in Jack leaning more and more on Nikki!
Will Victor give up his vendetta against Jack? Will Jack stop seeing Nikki in an effort to get Victor off his back?
Adam’s way

Adam (Mark Grossman) has received a visit from Chelsea (Melissa Claire Egan) just in time. He’s going to need all the help he can get now that Nick (Joshua Morrow) is in Matt Clark’s (Roger Howarth) clutches.
Matt’s plan is not to kill Nick, but to force drugs into his system. As Nick’s already pretty much addicted to pain pills, he could face an addiction that he could never beat! Chelsea is no stranger to challenging situations. She could use her con artist ways to help find Nick. But Matt is no pushover. He’s waited for years to get even with Nick, and now, he has his big chance.
On Thursday’s episode, watch for Adam to force Matt Clark’s hand. Will Adam’s gambit work? Will he be able to rescue his brother before Matt turns him into a junkie?
Sally’s Patience

Sally Spectra (Courtney Hope) told Billy Abbott (Jason Thompson) that he should have gone to Europe to see Jill Foster Abbott (Jess Walton), his mother, but Billy put off his traveling because Sally wasn’t feeling well. Billy wants to show Sally that he can be there for her. The two have been through a lot.
Sally has tried to get Billy to give up his vendetta against Victor. Billy has put the torch down once or twice, only to pick it up again and again. On Thursday’s episode, watch for Sally’s patience to be tested. Sally has forgiven Billy time and time again. Will she be able to do it once more?
