Madison LeCroy has reportedly been distancing herself from any cordiality with the Southern Hospitality crew in light of the ongoing rumors regarding Charley Manley’s alleged desperation to join the Leva Bonaparte-led cast.
After it was revealed that Madison, 33, had been vocal about “fame-seekers” infiltrating her Charleston social circle and noted that she had blocked certain newcomers on social media, an insider has spoken out, suggesting that Madison has proof of Charley “begging” for a position at Republic Garden & Lounge.
“Someone in the Charleston nightlife scene working with the Republic team confirmed Madison making it known that she won’t film with Charley due to the job-hunting situation. She was given verbal confirmation that Charley reached out multiple times to producers and management, offering to stir the pot. Madison believes Charley would betray her friendship with Craig Conover in a heartbeat if it meant securing a permanent spot on the show,” read a March 31 report from reality TV insiders.
As Southern Charm and Southern Hospitality fans may have seen, rumors about Charley Manley’s social climbing began swirling earlier this month, weeks after she was spotted at several high-profile Republic events. However, for just as long, both Charley and members of Craig’s inner circle have denied any ill intent.
Most recently, Madison weighed in on the claims in a comment on a post shared by a Bravo fan account on Instagram.
After a fan explained why the current cast of Southern Hospitality doesn’t need “forced” drama from outsiders, Madison signaled her full agreement.
“The show is great because the staff actually works there and has real history. We don’t need people begging for jobs just to get on TV and betraying their real-life friends for a storyline,” the fan had written.
“PREACHHHHHH,” Madison replied.
Madison LeCroy Reacts to “Backstabbing” Allegations Amid Casting Rumors
Days prior, a source close to the production appeared on a local Charleston radio show, where they set the record straight regarding the tension between the two blonde firebrands.
“Madison is protective of her territory, and it’s happened already to other people who try to use her friends to get ahead,” the source said of the situation. “They were just acquaintances, but now it’s personal. Madison sees the hustle. Charley is looking for her big break, and Madison is making sure everyone knows the cost. If it’s not clear, Madison doesn’t trust her, and she’s letting the whole town know it.”
Southern Hospitality continues to film its third season as the lines between friendship and fame become increasingly blurred in the Lowcountry.
