Coronation Street fans think they know what’s really wrong with Sarah Platt

Coronation Street fans think they have worked out what’s really wrong with Sarah Platt as she was seen being taken home by Carla Connor-Swain after getting drunk in the Rovers Return.
As those who follow the ITV soap know, Sarah was hit over the head and left for dead by Jodie Ramsey at the end of last month, with the incident unfolding during a dramatic week of episodes, which ended with the murder of one of five previously named villains.
Corrie’s highly anticipated murder mystery episodes saw how Jodie, Theo Silverton, Carl Webster, Megan Walsh and Maggie Driscoll could all find themselves in mortal peril, before the murder victim was finally revealed as Theo, the abusive husband of Sarah’s friend, Todd Grimshaw.
But Sarah also found herself wrapped up in the drama when she headed to her brother David’s home, No.8 Coronation Street, and found it had been trashed. She carefully walked through the house and found Jodie’s trinket box, which viewers have previously seen, containing unusual momentos, such as a USB stick and a picture of Bernie Winter’s face.
She ended up being knocked unconscious by Jodie and left on the flood until Shona Platt, Jodie’s sister and Sarah’s sister-in-law, returned home and found her. David Platt also returned home and was quickly ordered to ring an ambulance for his older sibling.
Shona assumed that the men who had been after Jodie had come back for her, and that Sarah had been caught in the crossfire. As Sarah recovered from her injury, Jodie was missing. But when she eventually returned to the cobbles, she lied about being kidnapped after witnessing Sarah’s attack.
Since then, Sarah has not been herself, and this week, after Fiz Dobbs alerted her to Sarah’s vulnerable state, her boss Carla Connor urged her to take some time off. Sarah wasn’t having any of it and didn’t seem keen on Michael Bailey taking on one of her contracts.
But during Wednesday’s (May 20) episode of Corrie, Michael informed Sarah of a mistake she had made on an order. He jumped to her rescue to cover for her, but Sarah also ended up snapping at the employees when she heard them gossiping over her attack. Later, in the Rovers, Sarah tried to mask her struggles by getting drunk, leaving Carla to take her home.
Viewers, meanwhile, think there could be more to Sarah’s current unease than first meets the eye. While some have questioned whether her head injury could be more serious than first thought, others are sticking to the theory that she was somehow involved in Theo’s murder, and that she isn’t coping with keeping the secret.
@DrSwarla2025 said: “What is going on with Sarah? The way she is acting isn’t all down to the bang on the head. Does she know more about Theos death than she’s letting on. #corrie.” @Sarah2022x replied: “I noticed that,I thought pregnant maybe? Or aneurism due to bang on the head…. not sure.”
@carlac0nn0rrr shared: “What if Sarah killed Theo before she got attacked & Kit knows. Kit didn’t go to the hospital that night to see Sarah so what if he was cleaning up any potential evidence. For me that’s a more interesting plot than it being the son who we’ve seen what 10x max #corrie.” @Bo88797665 noted: “Sarah is hiding something by how much anxiety and stress she seems to be acting with. #Corrie.” @Song_covers01 added: “I get the feeling Sarah either killed Theo or knows who did #Corrie.”
