What’s next on The Bold and the Beautiful
Friday’s all-new episode concluded with Eric walking into Bill’s office in the middle of a heated conversation between Brooke and Katie. Brooke pressed Katie for the name of her new designer, but Eric interrupted before Katie could reveal everything. As of now, Brooke remains blissfully unaware that the founding father of Forrester has defected to Logan. However, Brooke isn’t stupid, and it won’t be long before she connects the dots and labels it as the latest family betrayal.
On Monday, Donna encourages Katie to tell Brooke the truth, as she finds herself increasingly placed in the middle of this family feud. Not only is Donna caught between her sisters, but she’s also now forced to stand between Brooke, Ridge and Eric. Donna desperately wants peace within the family, but it looks highly unlikely. This is only going to get worse before it gets better, and considering Logan hasn’t officially launched yet, the drama isn’t even close to fully igniting.
To Eric and Katie’s credit, this was entirely avoidable. Brooke and Ridge could have treated the pair with the respect that they deserved (and earned) when they were still actively employed at Forrester Creations. Instead, Eric was pushed out of his own company, and Katie was effectively replaced by an outside PR firm. Brooke and Ridge have so many opinions about what everyone can and cannot do, but perhaps they should’ve thought about that before they started making decisions that led to these defections.
Finding the Will to survive
Following Katie’s departure from Forrester Creations, the idea that her defection could cause backlash against her son, Will was briefly discussed. However, the idea hasn’t been circled back to since the drama surrounding the Logan name and trademark. However, expect this to become a topic once again on Monday’s episode, as Will grows concerned that Katie’s decision will affect his own status at Forrester.
Will is already somewhat out of place at Forrester as the son of Ridge’s number one enemy, Bill Spencer. The only thing keeping Will’s status at the company from falling apart was Katie working there as head of PR and her title as Brooke’s sister. With Katie out of the picture, and R.J. back in the mix, Will’s place at Forrester Creations looks more unclear than ever. What exactly does his future hold at the fashion company? If anything, he may be better suited to jump ship like his mother and either work for her at Logan and join his father and Liam at Spencer.
Also on Monday’s episode, R.J. learns that Electra is dating Will. Despite the fact that R.J. and Electra share the Forrester name, the show seems comfortable positioning them as potential future lovers. Although this is appalling for the viewers, it’s even worse for Will. Not only does he have Dylan lurking in the shadows with an unknown agenda, but his once solid relationship with Electra is on shaky ground. She was instantly infatuated with R.J., and that is the perfect opening for R.J. and Dylan to break up the happy couple.
