On the January 14, 2026, episode of The Bold and the Beautiul, Dylan thanked Will and Electra for their help, Donna tried to put her family back together, and Eric asked to be the lead designer of Katie’s new company.
What happened on The Bold and the Beautiful
Ridge gave Brooke a neck message in the Forrester CEO office. She wondered how he found time to do that for her with such a busy schedule. Donna interrupted the couple, and apologized for intervening. She wanted to speak to Brooke about Katie because she was concerned.
Donna worried that the stress of launching Logan could take a toll on Katie’s health. Although Brooke worried as well, she didn’t think any concerned comments would be well received by Katie. Ridge stated that Katie wasn’t a seasoned pro, so it would be even more difficult on her. Donna took offense, acknowledging that Katie wasn’t a novice either.
Ridge didn’t think watching others run Forrester gave her the tools to launch her own company. Brooke asked if Katie had trouble handling the pressure. Donna revealed how overwhelmed Katie was, which didn’t surprise Ridge since she was doing it all alone.
Being the middle child, Donna wanted to broker peace between Brooke and Katie. Nothing was the same since Katie departed Forrester. Donna wasn’t taking sides, but she wanted everyone to return to how it used to be, when they all got along.
Brooke recalled how Katie threw her out of her office, and Donna felt like it was understandable since she was upset. Ridge chimed in, shutting down Donna’s defense of Katie. Brooke was disrespected because she truly believed that using the Logan name was the same as Katie stealing from her and Ridge.
Donna refused to believe that Katie intentionally disrespected Brooke. Ridge didn’t think Katie cared about the impact her words and actions had on Brooke. Donna scoffed at that notion. She reiterated that she wouldn’t take sides, and she begged Brooke to not allow this to pull their family apart.
Brooke told Donna that Katie was taking advantage of what Brooke and Ridge built. Donna understood what Brooke was saying, but it was all about perspective. Ridge rolled his eyes at the idea that anyone in the fashion industry would think of Katie or even Donna when they heard the name Logan. To him, Logan was only synonymous with Brooke.
Katie took a phone call about Logan in her office, but she jumped off the call after Eric popped in. She referred to him as a living legend, giving high praise for his impact in the fashion industry. Eric asked how things were going for Katie, and she admitted she was as overwhelmed then as she was when they previously spoke.
Katie was grateful that Eric offered his support by consulting about the launch of Logan. Not having a designer for her first collection was taking a toll on Katie. It had become clearer than ever to her how badly she needed one.
Eric pointed out that Katie was an accomplished businesswoman, and he had faith in her. Katie hoped to find someone with a semblance of the talent that the Forrester founder possessed. Katie discussed how Deke’s name was thrown into the hat for designer, even though he was still green.
Katie wanted someone who was ambitious and unafraid to redefine with feminine strength entail. Eric laughed, realizing that Katie’s vision had the potential to compete directly up against Ridge and Forrester Creations. Katie spent most of her career working under Eric, so she learned a lot from him throughout the years.
Eric looked over some of the portfolios for potential contenders for Logan lead designer. After reviewing the sketches of several candidates, and he didn’t think any of them were up for the task. A lot rested on the success of Logan, and Katie didn’t think she could step out of Brooke’s shadow with what she had.
Katie worried she’d become a laughingstock if her first collection was a failure. Katie wasn’t only launching a fashion house. Instead, she was trying to keep her sibling relationship with Brooke alive, under intense scrutiny and personal jabs.
Eric recalled the previous conflicts between Brooke and Katie, but he believed they’d eventually reconcile. He thought that she had the right to call her fashion house whatever they wanted. Eric believed that Ridge and Brooke suffered a bruised ego after learning they allowed the Logan trademark to lapse.
Eric thought Katie’s office was vibrant and filled with excitement. He thought it was fantastic, lighting up while expressing what she’d experience on the runway at a fashion show. Eric admitted that Katie was missing a foundational piece of her company that she couldn’t proceed without.
Eric looked her in the eye and said, “Katie, I want to do this with you. All of it. I don’t wanna just be a consultant. I wanna design for you. You and me together on a runway. Can you imagine that? We’re gonna launch this company. We’re gonna launch Logan.”
Dylan was excited to potentially become a part of the Forrester Creations family. She thanked Will and Electra for asking Stuffy to give her a job. Dylan told Electra that their friendship meant everything to her.
Dylan couldn’t believe that she was in the building, so the idea of working at the famed design house was mind-boggling. Electra had always seen Dylan’s kind heart, and they bonded over their mutual love of Bad Bunny. Dylan felt like her life was finally turning around, and she felt like the luckiest person alive.
Dylan asked, “How awesome would that be? You, me, and Will working together in the same building?” The idea of working there sounded fun in theory, but Dylan worried that the couple would grow tired of her constant presence.
While alone, Will and Electra reflected on their relationship and how their friendship was key. While they had a moment together, they kissed in the design office. However, it was difficult to not feel as if it was the calm before a storm named Dylan.
