The star had previously cut and donated her hair before beginning her chemotherapy treatment, which she posted on her Instagram, and in a recent post, she showed off her shaved head.
Posing with her dog outside on her balcony, she wrote: “Next phase. My love to my sons Louis and Luca. Your my everything. Peace , joy and love to everyone.”
And commenters were quick to praise her, including her former Corrie co-star Sally Dynevor (Sally Metcalfe), who wrote: “Beautiful xxx”.
Dynevor, who is a breast cancer survivor herself, had previously shown her support for Shaw in another Instagram post of her showing her short hair, writing: “You look amazing Tracy. Please let me know if there’s anything I can do xxxx.”
Elsewhere, another said: “You are absolutely beautiful, you’re doing AMAZING,” while someone else commented: “Sending all my love, Tracy! Your amazing spirit shines through even stronger. You’ve got this. I know it’s hard but, a day at a time as always, and am here holding your hand.”
In her previous Instagram post revealing her diagnosis, Shaw said that she was originally “going to be having surgery in two weeks, but because my results have come back that I am HER2 positive, it means I have to have chemo for five months”.
She continued: “Then [there is] hopefully surgery to have lumps removed and take the [lymph] glands out so they can do some more tests. And possibly more surgery before radiotherapy.”
Before cutting her hair short to donate to Little Princess Trust, the actress wrote in a post: “Tomorrow I will have my hair cut because it’s the only choice I have with cancer, before it takes my hair, my identity away that I’ve had the last 52yrs. The fight will continue. Thankyou, your all wonderful.”
More recently, Shaw walked 100 miles to raise money for Breast Cancer Now, which she completed on 31 May. Alongside a picture of herself in a bright pink T-shirt featuring the charity’s slogan, she wrote: “Actually completed today, by the grace of God.
“Thankyou for your donations to breastcancernow, to help research and fund every women and man facing this disease.”
