Could a mysterious clash in tonight’s Coronation Street episode point to Theo Silverton being the victim of the show’s latest murder mystery? This week sees the ITV soap air a series of flashback episodes, with the first four focusing on Carla Connor and Lisa Swain’s wedding.
They all begin with the brides arriving at Underworld for the reception, with each following the perspective of one of the potential victims.
Tonight’s installment focuses on Theo, who could be the body that Betsy Swain discovers in Friday’s explosive episode.
After Theo’s abuse of partner Todd Grimshaw came to light and the couple split, Todd has been planning to head to Thailand to visit his mum Eileen and brother Jason, while also fleeing from Todd.
Another fiery clash erupts between the former couple in tonight’s episode, which ends with Theo being confronted by a mysterious figure who grabs his shoulder, with Theo scoffing and saying, “Am I supposed to be scared?”
Could it be that this confrontation is what leads to his body being found on the cobbles? We do see Todd and Theo together afterwards, which means the mysterious figure would need to track him down again to kill him.
It could be that Theo doesn’t meet his untimely demise, and it could be one of four other residents – Carl Webster, Jodie Ramsey, Megan Walsh, or Maggie Driscoll.
The episode begins with Theo breaking into Todd’s flat, attempting to prepare a meal for the pair before becoming aggressive.
Todd grabs a knife to protect himself before George Shuttleworth arrives and attempts to diffuse the altercation.
George and Todd manage to create a distraction and overpower Theo, escaping from the flat before he can hurt them.
They run into police officer Kit Green outside, telling him that Theo has broken into the flat, but when Kit enters, he is nowhere to be seen.
Terrified, Todd sets off in a cab for the airport after learning that Theo had not been caught by police.
Soon after, he discovers he hasn’t got his phone and stops the taxi, but his blood runs cold when he walks down the street and comes face to face with Theo holding the device.
How far could Todd go to escape Theo once and for all, or will the mysterious stranger be key to saving him?
