Thomas Skinner has revealed that his wife Sinead is pregnant with their fourth child, sharing the happy news in a heartfelt Instagram post — just months after his Strictly Come Dancing stint was overshadowed by scandal, controversy, and public backlash.

The former Apprentice star announced the pregnancy on Friday while also celebrating his 35th birthday, describing the baby news as “the greatest present in the world.”

Posting a photograph of the couple’s latest ultrasound scan alongside smiling family snaps from his birthday celebrations, Thomas wrote:
“It’s my birthday today… and I’ve got the greatest present in the world. Baby number 4 is on the way.”

He added:
“I honestly couldn’t ask for anything more. Our little family of five is about to become six!! I am so blessed and grateful. Better start looking for a bigger car.”

‘Best birthday ever’

Thomas, who already shares son Henry, five, and two-year-old twins Darla and Roma with Sinead, posted a photo of Wednesday's scan as well as beaming snaps of the family

The reality star went on to share an emotional message addressed to the unborn baby, writing:
“Can’t wait to meet you, Baby Skinner. Best birthday ever. Mummy, Daddy and your big brother and sisters are going to love you so, so much. Bosh.”

The announcement marks a strikingly positive turn following a turbulent period for the couple, after Thomas admitted last September that he had been unfaithful to Sinead just weeks after they tied the knot in May 2022.

Affair claims and conflicting accounts

Thomas previously confessed to a brief affair with Amy-Lucy O’Rourke, describing it as a “moment of madness” and admitting it nearly “ruined his life.”

However, Amy-Lucy later disputed his version of events in an interview with the Daily Mail, claiming the relationship lasted around three months. She alleged that Thomas had told her he was unhappy in his marriage and described his relationship with Sinead as a “loveless relationship of convenience.”

But Amy-Lucy suggested in an interview with the Daily Mail that their secret relationship lasted three months, during which time he said he was in love with her and unhappy with Sinead

She also claimed he had “sold her a dream” and said he told her he was in love with her.

Strictly fallout and vote-rigging accusations

Thomas’ time on Strictly Come Dancing was ultimately dominated by the scandal. Paired with professional dancer Amy Dowden, he became the first contestant eliminated after scoring just 29 out of 80 across two shows.

Thomas’ Strictly experience was completely overshadowed by his affair scandal (pictured with wife Sinead)

Following his exit, Thomas publicly claimed that BBC bosses had “rigged the public vote” to ensure his removal — an allegation strongly denied by the broadcaster.

He later said he had received an anonymous email which he believed proved manipulation of the voting figures, though he never shared the email with the BBC despite repeated requests.

Poll results contradict claims

An independent exit poll conducted by website Strictly Spoiler, based on responses from more than 125,000 viewers, appeared to undermine Thomas’ allegations. The poll suggested he received just 1.4% of the public vote, equating to 1,805 votes — the lowest of any contestant.

A source told The Mirror:
“The poll comprehensively shows that Skinner was the least popular contestant by a long way. There is no conspiracy. These are the cold, hard facts.”

A BBC spokesperson said at the time:
“Strictly Come Dancing’s public vote is independently overseen and verified to ensure complete accuracy every week. Any claims to the contrary are entirely without foundation.”

PromoVeritas, the firm responsible for independently verifying the votes, added that “all votes are comprehensively audited and validated.”

Regret, legal threats and stepping back

In a since-deleted statement reported by The Mirror, Thomas admitted he “really regretted” taking part in Strictly, despite insisting he remained on good terms with the BBC.

He said:
“I know people will say I’m hated or that I didn’t get any votes at all. At this point, I don’t care anymore. I know what’s right.”

While acknowledging his mistakes, Thomas said the toll on his family had been the hardest part:
“What I can’t accept is my family being dragged into this. I really regret doing Strictly Come Dancing.”

He later confirmed he had pulled out of the show’s final and intended to step back from public disputes to focus on work and family life.

A new chapter

Now, with a fourth child on the way, friends say Thomas is determined to move forward and focus on rebuilding stability at home.
