As HGTV star Drew Scott and his wife, Linda Phan, continue to mourn the sudden death of her mother, he lovingly praised her strength through “good times and sad” in a 2026 Valentine’s Day tribute via social media.
The “Property Brothers” star revealed his mother-in-law’s death in a heartbreaking post on February 5. In his tribute to Phan on the morning of February 14, Scott wrote, “Through the good times and the sad. Through the busyness of parenting and stress of work. You have always been my rock. Thank you for your strength, your patience and your love. I love you more than words can describe

Fans Acknowledge Drew Scott & Linda Phan’s Grief: ‘Hope You Are OK’
Scott posted four sweet photos of himself and Phan in his Valentine’s Day post, which was liked by thousands of fans in less than an hour. The couple met in 2010 in their native Toronto, per People. Now based in Los Angeles, they married in 2018 and share two kids — son Parker, who will turn four in May, and daughter Piper, who will turn two in May.
Many fans commented on Scott’s post, including some who acknowledged their grief. On Facebook, one wrote, “Love always wins! Happy Valentines Day

Drew Scott Said His Heart Was Broken When His Mother-in-Law Died
Scott and Phan had not shared much about her mom over the years, but he made it clear on February 5 what a heartbreaking loss her death was.
“My heart is broken,” Scott posted, sharing a photo of their wedding day with their moms by their side. “We have lost one of the most beautiful, kind and selfless people this planet has ever seen. Linda’s mom is truly one of a kind and was taken from us far too soon.”
“Thank you Habu for bringing so much light to our lives,” Scott continued. “Your laugh was infectious and I will always remember our late nights playing your favorite game 四色牌遊戲. I feel helpless in trying to comfort Linda and her family, but know memories of all the beautiful times with Habu will live on with us forever.”
Drew then directly wrote to his beloved mother-in-law, “You were always there for us and all 10 grandkids. The hardest thing for me is to know we won’t have you here to see Parker and Piper grow into strong and compassionate adults like you. I love you. I miss you”
