Carly showed up at Lulu’s house, and Charlotte asked if everything was okay, which Lulu found bizarre. Lulu asked Charlotte if she’d finished her homework, and although she had, she still left the room. Carly wondered why Lulu called her over there, and Lulu revealed that she and Nathan were involved.

Lulu and Nathan hadn’t gone on a real date yet, but Carly wished them the best. He and Maxie weren’t together anymore, so it’s not like anyone was having an affair. However, Maxie threatened to end their friendship over Lulu’s continued involvement with Nathan.

Carly was curious about Dante’s reaction to the news about Lulu and Nathan. She admitted that the revelation caught Dante by surprise. Maxie took matters into her own hands to fill Dante in on the news in person. Carly thought that Dante’s reaction was great, but Lulu joked that she wished Dante had fought back a little bit.

Lulu was completely thrown by Maxie’s reaction to their involvement. Ending the friendship when Maxie chose Spinelli was not at all what Lulu expected. Carly asked whether Lulu planned to listen to Tracy’s advice or, as Maxie said, call things off.

Lulu thought that she and Nathan might be on the verge of something real. After reaching out to Carly and Tracy, it appeared more like she was seeking permission to date Nathan. Carly also encouraged Lulu to put more trust in Charlotte, which might make things easier between them.

Lulu called Charlotte into the living room, and she entrusted her to be left alone for the first time in a long time. Charlotte was surprised that Lulu would allow her to have that kind of freedom. Lulu explained her fight with Maxie and how eager she was to fix it before it was too late.

Nathan was proud of James’ baseball skills, and his son asked him to come inside, so they could hydrate over a juice box. James claimed that Maxie was busy at work, but once Nathan opened the door, she was sitting in the living room.

James went upstairs to do homework, leaving Maxie and Nathan alone so they could talk. Nathan assumed Maxie had questions about his involvement with Lulu. Maxie asked if Nathan secretly hoped she’d choose Spinelli the entire time.

Maxie wondered if Nathan ran back to Lulu the second she chose someone else over him. She felt like a complete idiot. As Maxie droned on about how much Nathan meant to her, she believed he was thinking about Lulu the entire time.

Nathan had promised he loved Maxie, but everything changed when he woke up and realized seven years had passed. Maxie was hurt at the idea that Nathan would’ve moved on from her after only six months. She grieved like no other when Nathan “died.” James was the only thing that allowed her to survive through the pain. Instead, Nathan came back and quickly moved forward with Lulu.

Nathan said he was ready to give their relationship another chance if she chose him. However Maxie asked how they could’ve built a life together if he was secretly harboring feelings for Lulu. Nathan apologized for keeping Maxie in the dark the first night that they saw each other. It was easier for him to avoid the subject of Lulu.

Maxie pleaded with Nathan not to defend Lulu to her. She knew her better than anyone, and Nathan didn’t want her to ruin the friendship over something that hadn’t started yet. Nathan asked Maxie if she was allowed to move on with Spinelli, what was he supposed to do? Was it fair to force him to be alone? However, Lulu showed up directly while Maxie wondered where the relationship had left her.

At General Hospital, Britt spotted Rocco doing his community service, and she asked to speak with him for a moment. She wanted an opportunity to say goodbye. Rocco asked if Britt was going somewhere, but she claimed it was because of Liesl. Although Liesl texted Rocco herself, Britt told him she was proud of him and of how he had reentered their lives.

Rocco loved hearing all of the stories about Britt from Liesl. She was smart, funny, and a great doctor. He thought they’d been awesome to him, and he always had Britt and Liesl in his corner. Rocco was one of the few people who could break through Liesl’s unorthodox exterior.

Rocco needed to return to his community service, which gave Britt and Lucas some time to chat. He offered her a tissue after he saw her break down a bit. Although Britt claimed it was allergies, Lucas knew otherwise.

Britt said it was better for her to leave because Lulu didn’t want her anywhere near Rocco. Lucas didn’t think that Dante and Lulu knew about the changed version of Britt. She was far less self-involved than she used to be. Even further, Lucas felt like Britt was somewhat of a hero.

Lucas refused to let Britt be coerced into doing something she didn’t want. He vowed that he and Marco were committed to freeing her from the influence of Cullum and Sidwell.

In Carly’s attic, Valentin did a bit of digging into Cullum while thinking about his passionate night with Carly. Jason interrupted the daydream and demanded that Valentin convince him that he won’t hurt Carly. Valentin asked what would happen if he didn’t comply, and he responded, “What do you think?”

Valentin joked that he thought Jason would overreact when he learned that Jason had slept with Carly. Valentin revealed that Carly was the one who approached him to seek a partnership. His history with Jack made him the perfect person to collude with.

Carly disguised herself as Valentin’s attorney, eager for his help to extract Josslyn from the WSB. Valentin wanted to trade places with Jack and put him in prison. It was in Valentin’s best interest to keep Carly safe. She was the key to putting Jack behind bars.

Jason informed Valentin that Cullum and Sidwell were working in tandem. He didn’t care why Valentin escaped and returned to Port Charles. Jason’s only concern was to ensure Carly’s safety.

Valentin remained at Carly’s house to protect her from any backlash that may come if Jack uncovers their plan. He asked Jason if he was convinced that he wasn’t a terrible guy. Jason believed that Carly teaming with Valentin was better than her going about it on her own. On his way out, he warned Valentin that if something happened to Carly, there’d be no place to hide.

Carly got home and found Jason waiting in her kitchen. He assured her that Valentin was fine, but he was there to say goodbye. It was best for everyone for Jason and Britt to disappear for the time being. Carly asked where they were headed, but he couldn’t say.

Jason made Carly promise that she’d handle the situation with Josslyn and the WSB delicately. She needed to work with Valentin and actually listen to his advice. Despite his better judgment, Valentin was the safest option to help her through the other side. Jason felt like he was deserting Carly, but she appreciated his trust in her.

Carly asked Jason what he planned to tell Danny about his sudden exit from Port Charles. He had struggled with that because he didn’t want to lie to him, but he also didn’t want to burden him. Carly advised Jason to tell Danny that he’d be leaving town indefinitely and didn’t know when he’d return.

Charlotte made her way to Carly’s attic and warned her father about what she overheard. While interning at Crimson, Charlotte listened in on a conversation between Nina and Jack. She suggested lying to Nina, so she’d feed Jack false information about his whereabouts.

Valentin appreciated the sentiment, but it was too dangerous for her to lie to Nina. He told her to leave and pick up Rocco before Lulu got suspicious. Valentin didn’t think he’d ever end up having to leave town if things played out the way he wanted.

Dante opened up to Cody about when he first fell in love with Lulu. He always believed that he and Lulu would overcome all the obstacles put in their way. Their marriage never recovered from Dante’s undercover work with the WSB.

Cody’s line of questioning prompted Dante to ask if this was about Molly. Dante was happy for Cody and Molly, but Cody wasn’t sure that Molly felt the same. He wanted to take care of her after the health scare, but she declined his offer.

Cody worried that he came on too strong. He pushed for Molly to seek medical treatment. Even though Molly didn’t seem upset on the surface, Cody still worried. Dante encouraged him not to take it personally because when people aren’t feeling well, they often want to be alone.

Molly told Kristina about the flare-up, but she didn’t want to discuss treatment options with her doctor while Cody waited outside. Kristina was glad that Molly was forthcoming with Cody, but she asked what exactly she told him. Did she simply say that she had endometriosis, or did she explain what that meant for their future?

Kristina understood Molly’s decision to decline Cody’s offer to take care of her. She, however, urged her sister not to be embarrassed by her condition. The truth was that endometriosis changed the course of her life, and it was what led to the end of her partnership with TJ.

Despite not knowing if Cody wanted to be a father, Molly saw how good he was with kids like James. She wondered when she’d have to be open and honest and tell him that having kids might not be a possibility. Molly was terrified that bringing up the idea of having children would cause Cody to bolt from the relationship.
