A This Morning presenter was left ‘shaking and white as a sheet’ after a meeting with ITV bosses.
Former Made In Chelsea star Sam Thompson, 33, presents showbiz news every Thursday on the long-running programme.
Sam also hosts podcast Staying Relevant with pal Pete Wicks, 37, where he made a revelation in the latest episode.
The star shared: ‘I do This Morning every week, every Thursday I do the showbiz news, and I got asked by the boss, who’s a lovely guy, to come into his office and take a seat.
‘He was like “I think you’re doing great, I’d just, like, want to go through where I think we’re doing well, where I think we can improve”.
‘I love to hear it, I want to know where I can improve.’

At this point, Pete remarked: ‘I know you would have gone in there going, “I am doing great, this is going to be a fluffing session.”
‘He’s sat down and gone, “I can’t wait for this because I love to be told I’m doing great. Go on, hit me.”‘
Sam admitted: ‘Pete, I did exactly that! I went in [thinking] so it’s going to be a little bit of negative, but probably mostly positive.
‘He sits down and goes, “Sam, I think you’re doing a phenomenal job, these are the things I think you could be better at”.
‘Spent the entirety of the thing being like, “So this bit, I don’t know what you’re doing” That’s quite savage reviews!’
The former I’m A Celebrity… Get Me Out Of Here! winner continued: ‘It went on for about half an hour, by the end of it I’m white as a sheet, I’m, like, shaking.
‘He goes, ‘Anyway mate, smashing it’ and then walks out.’

Last month, Sam was left embarrassed after Ben Shephard took a withering swipe at his appearance as he appeared on the This Morning sofa
Despite the criticism, Sam clarified that he didn’t mind the feedback and had taken it on board.
He explained: ‘Actually, these kinds of reviews actually do help, because I then did take on board what he said and I did actually do a little bit better.
‘He said that the art of the segue could do with a little bit of panache.’
It comes as last month Sam was left embarrassed after Ben Shephard took a withering swipe at his appearance as he appeared on the This Morning sofa.
But before Sam even had a chance to open up on the latest headlines, he was given a savage takedown by Ben – who was quick to comment on his tan.
‘I think you’re going more and more orange,’ Ben pointed out as Sam first appeared on screen, as Sam flapped his hands in the air responding: ‘Don’t! You’ve got to stop this!’
Lifting his hands up to reveal his fake tan, Sam smiled and said: ‘It’s on the palms,’ as Cat chimed in: ‘You’re going to give him a complex!’
‘He looks very healthy,’ Ben added, leaving Sam looking embarrassed behind him.
This Morning airs weekdays from 10am on ITV1 and is available to stream on ITVX.
