As the former Vanderpump Rules star spotted photographers, she didn’t shed a smile while wearing a torn graphic T-shirt with the rapper Lil Wayne on the front. On the bottom, she donned a pair of white sweatpants and black Nike sandals. Brittany went makeup-free and had her brown hair pulled up into a messy bun. She also seemingly continued to wear her wedding ring despite revealing she and Jax are “taking time apart.” ‘I’VE HAD A ROUGH YEAR’ During this week’s podcast episode, Brittany said, “Many of you guys have been asking me about Jax and I and our relationship. I just think it’s important to be real and honest with you guys, because we’ve shared so much of our lives with you guys.” Brittany confessed to alluding to her marriage issues before. “Yes, marriages in general are very hard and I’ve had a particularly rough year this past year.” She then broke the news. “Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health.” Brittany and Jax share a two-year-old son named Cruz. It’s not yet known if the end of their relationship will play out when their Vanderpump Rules spinoff, The Valley, debuts next month. “I’m taking one day at a time,” she finished. “I don’t know what the future holds, but right now my focus is on being the best mom to Cruz.” JAX’S RESPONSE The former Sur bartender gave a shocking update on Thursday after he left his local gym. He insisted that the pair’s separation was not a divorce. “We’re together. We’re living in our home right now,” Jax told Page Six just hours after Brittany revealed the news. “She was in a house for a while, but yeah, she’s back now.” Jax confirmed when asked about how the divorce is going, “It’s not evil or nastiness.” He went on to say that they are, “Figuring it out,” and that the split feels, “All fresh and new.” “We’re just spending some time apart and just trying to re-assess, you know, our situation. We have a child involved and we just wanna do what’s best for our kid,” he finished. Later this month, Brittany and Jax will appear on the newest Bravo series, The Valley alongside former VPR star Kristen Doute, 40. NEW MOVES In the trailer for the reality, the trio looked ready to make their official comeback to Bravo in the brand-new show. The sneak peek showed Jax on a miniature Ford Bronco for kids as he went around waving to his neighbors, which included Kristen and her boyfriend, Luke Broderick. Jax was dressed up in a gray suit with black gloves, while Kristen entered the frame wearing a red sequin dress. Brittany was featured toward the end of the trailer, telling Jax to “stop messing around and mow the dang yard” while wearing a multicolored sequin gown. Other couples were also featured in the trailer, with the narrator explaining that the series will show them “taking a shot at adulting.” ‘SO FAKE!’ After the news hit social media, fans were skeptical about the timing of their split – weeks before The Valley’s premiere date – and shared their theories on X, formerly Twitter. One questioned, “Is this supposed to make us want to now watch an entire season of a new show where they’re supposedly a happily married couple?” “Seems a bit coincidental with the timing of their new show…some fake drama? IDK…maybe I’m being too cynical,” a second theorized. A third claimed, “I know I’m being mean but sorry this Jax Brittany separated seems so fake to promote the Valley and listen to the podcast.” The reality star continued, ‘”Jax and I are taking time apart and I made the decision to move into another home to take some space for the sake of my mental health’ Credit: TheImageDirect.com Jax and Brittany are set to appear on the new Bravo reality show, The Valley later this monthCredit: INSTAGRAM/brittany The couple also shares a two-year-old son named CruzCredit: Getty

The biggest soap event of the year is soon upon us, with Corriedale set to air on Monday. But as the worlds of Coronation Street and Emmerdale collide, ITV boss Iain MacLeod has revealed that a secret change was made.

The crossover episode is due to air on ITV1 tomorrow night for an unprecedented special event in the history of soaps. Though most of the storylines have been kept under wraps, we do know that a major multi-vehicle collision is at the centre of the action.

Speaking ahead of the episode, MacLeod shared that the final product didn’t deviate too much from the original idea for the crossover, though he did confirm that an alteration was made due to practical circumstances and budgetary restraints.

“The main difference [between the original idea and final product] was that it started off as a crash on the M62,” he began, with the producer recalling that he asked about the cost of shutting down the motorway for filming.

“The very level-headed production people had the job of going, ‘well, we can’t quite do that’, so the nature of the road changed. But the nature of the stories stayed very much as originally conceived.

“That’s because, as much as I conceived that individual episode, all the storylines that featured in it were things that have been generated by the very talented writing teams of Corrie and Emmerdale.

“So, I just took gold and wove it into something hopefully entertaining. It was robust and stayed the same, because we had really robust foundations in the stories that were leading up to it.”

While the location may have changed from the original vision, MacLeod was adamant that it wouldn’t affect the core power of the storyline, with the producer praising screenwriter Owen Lloyd-Fox for his script.

“He’s worked at length on both soaps and has written both of them impeccably,” said MacLeod of Lloyd-Fox. “I knew he would embrace the madness. Compared to some of the fantastically mad pitches Owen puts in the story conferences, this is relatively sane!

“Owen likes the big crazy stuff. I knew he’d write it with cleverness and wit. He’s very easy to work with. On something like this, you set off with a script at the start of the process, and it changes for all kinds of reasons.

“Some of which are down to my whims, some are down to practical concerns like the weather. What you need is somebody that can roll with the punches and redeliver something that’s every bit as good and sometimes better than what we had before.”

Despite the highly-anticipated nature of the crossover, ITV has maintained throughout that Corriedale is a one-off affair, though MacLeod did confirm that the storylines would continue in each respective soap.
