Coronation Street star says Lisa Swain ‘has found her one’ in adorable Carla Connor admission

Coronation Street star Vicky Myers has sent fans wild as she was heard saying her character, Lisa Swain, has ‘found her one’ in Carla Connor in the long-running show.
Fans of the ITV soap have been waiting for the couple to tie the knot following their engagement back in September, which came before a very turbulent time for the pair following the unexpected arrival of Lisa’s ex, Becky Swain.
It was then in January that Corrie’s boss, producer Kate Brooks, announced that the two characters would be hearing wedding bells this spring and as Becky was out of the picture, having been sentenced to more than 12 years behind bars for her crimes, Lisa and Carla reunited and the latter wasted no time in booking their big day.
The date was set for April 23 but at the time, it was also confirmed that their ‘beautiful’ wedding day will end with a shock for poor Betsy Swain as Lisa’s daughter discovers one of her neighbours dead on the cobbles.
During a special flashforward episode of Corrie, which aired in February, viewers saw a police interview taking place on April 23, 2026. As the drama unfolded, a shocked and anxious Betsy is seen telling the detectives about finding the dead body of someone she knows.
Dressed in wedding clothes, she explains that she had been at the wedding of her mum and Carla, but was heading into town to carry on the celebrations, which she described as “beautiful”, when she made the shocking discovery.
As the episode returned to the present day, viewers started to see how the behaviour of the five characters could lead to their possible death two months later. It confirmed that Megan Walsh, Theo Silverton, Maggie Driscoll, Jodie Ramsey and Carl Webster are the five potential victims of the upcoming murder, as each potentially has a reason to be brutally killed.

But, the wedding will go ahead, with it already confirmed that Lisa and Carla are the first two women to successfully tie the knot in Corrie’s 65-year history.
Ahead of the special scenes airing, Vicky has been heard opening up about why she thinks Lisa has found ‘her one’ in Carla. Asked by EverySoap what makes Carla ‘the one’ for Lisa, the actress admitted: “There’s a heck of a lot, I think that goes without saying. I think for her relaitonship with Carla, she’s found her person. Somebody who supports her, who loves her unconditionally, who has forgiven, who has created this safe space for her to be who she is…”
Vicky reshared the video to her X (formerly Twitter) page and was quickly flooded with messages. @TheConnorSwains shared: “I’ve waited a lifetime for a character like Lisa & a relationship like #Swarla Seeing 2 strong women in a loving, supportive relationship raising a teenage daughter is powerful. Teenage me needed this rep years ago. TY Vicky you’re changing the narrative a scene at a time!”
