In the Abbott mansion dining room, Jack was sprawled on the floor, bleeding from the abdomen and mouth. He heard Diane and Kyle arrive home, but he couldn’t speak. Jack desperately reached out to grab the tablecloth on the dining room table. Diane and Kyle heard a loud crash, and they rushed into the dining room, where they found a bloody Jack.

Kyle called 9-1-1 while Diane tended to Jack. Diane found the knife and concluded that Patty had stabbed Jack. A stunned Kyle reported that someone had already called the police and paramedics, and he worried that Patty might still be somewhere in the house. The doorbell rang, and Diane panicked that Jack’s pulse was weakening.

The paramedics and police raced in, and an officer indicated that a hysterical woman had made the emergency call. The police searched the house. Kyle updated Detective Burrow about how he and Jack had figured out that Patty and Dr. Markham had been working together to hold Diane at Markham’s home. An EMT reported that Jack’s blood pressure was dropping, and the medics applied defibrillator paddles to Jack’s chest.

Patty turns the tables

Police officers found Patty cowering in an upstairs bedroom. Patty pleaded with them not to let Jack’s wife hurt her again. Patty claimed that Diane had attacked Jack and that Diane had slashed Patty’s arms when Patty had tried to stop her. Patty continued that she’d called the police, and she asked if Jack was going to be all right.

The paramedics resuscitated Jack and wheeled him out on a stretcher. Diane and Kyle planned to follow the ambulance to the hospital as officers led Patty downstairs. Patty screamed for Diane to stay away from her, and Kyle held Diane back from lunging at Patty. Patty accused Diane of attacking her and Jack.

Patty claimed that she and Jack had just been enjoying their evening when Diane had broken in and gone crazy when she’d realized Jack had chosen Patty over her. Patty demanded that Diane be arrested, adding that the blood on Diane’s hands proved she’d tried to kill them.

Diane revealed that Patty had orchestrated her kidnapping and tried to kill Jack twice before. Kyle restrained Diane when she lunged at Patty again. Patty pointed out that Diane was threatening her. Burrow ordered the EMTs to treat the women there while he got answers.

Coffee Talk

Phyllis and Matt may have a future as friends or even more

Phyllis and Matt picked up coffee at Crimson Lights. Phyllis promised that she wouldn’t blow Matt’s cover, but she wanted answers about why Victor was making Matt get close to Cane. Matt reasoned that he was new in town and needed to make new friends, but it was hard to build a life for himself with his history and reputation. Matt intended to build himself up from nothing the way Cane had.

Phyllis thought that Matt’s praise for Cane didn’t ring true, so obviously Victor was behind it. Matt realized that she was trying to protect him – yet she wouldn’t go out on a date with him. Phyllis warned Matt against aligning himself with Cane if he wanted to prove he was a changed man. Phyllis saw the pain in Matt’s eyes over the harm he’d caused in the past.

Matt suspected that Phyllis might be the only one who saw it, and he contemplated whether he should turn to her instead. He suggested they go to the Shadow Room. Phyllis worried that it might be a trigger for Matt, but he thought the only way he had a future was to examine his past.

A Brewing Love Triangle

At The Shadow Room, Sienna was on the phone with Noah, who was home after visiting Nikki in the hospital. Noah considered going to work, but Sienna encouraged him to get some rest. He said he missed her and invited her to wake him up when she got home. Audra sauntered in and locked eyes with Sienna.

Sienna flatly told Audra that Noah wasn’t there. The women exchanged barbs, and Sienna warned that if Audra was waiting for Noah, she’d be waiting a while. Audra questioned whether Sienna was speaking as a co-owner or girlfriend. Sienna stressed that she was Noah’s girlfriend, which meant Audra wasn’t. “For now,” Audra replied.

Audra theorized that Noah regretted running the place with Sienna. Sienna cited a family medical emergency, and Audra became alarmed that Noah was ill. Sienna clarified that Noah was fine, but she wasn’t at liberty to say more. Audra was sure Noah would fill her in. Noah entered the club and spotted the women talking.

Noah joined Sienna behind the bar and welcomed Audra back. Noah and Sienna kissed, and Audra noted that Sienna had mentioned a medical emergency. Noah informed Audra that Nikki had undergone a procedure, but the outlook was optimistic. Audra swore that she wouldn’t have asked if Sienna hadn’t mentioned it. Sienna chortled.

Phyllis and Matt entered the club. Noah stormed over and assumed Matt was there to antagonize him. Matt explained that it was important for him to deal with his past, but he offered to leave. Phyllis insisted that Matt had changed, and Noah was appalled that Phyllis trusted Matt. Noah allowed them to stay but ordered Matt to keep his distance from Sienna.

At the bar, Audra recounted how Noah had tried to get between her and Matt when they’d encountered Matt in the park. Sienna huffed that it had been less about protecting Audra and more about confronting Matt. Noah returned and cautioned them not to let their guard down around Matt. Audra cooed that Noah knew best.

Matt asked why Phyllis cared about how people perceived him. She admitted she cared about him. Matt recalled that she’d knocked him unconscious the last time she’d said something similar, so he didn’t trust her. As Noah dropped off drinks, Matt spotted Audra and wanted to apologize for scaring her in the park. Noah warned Matt to stay away from her.

Matt questioned whether Phyllis really cared about him. She explained that she knew what it was like to be dismissed and branded in a certain way. Phyllis said she was sorry for hurting him, and she liked their friendship. Matt admitted that his judgment was clouded because Phyllis was hot.

Matt stated that the only thing he cared about was being a better person, and Phyllis replied that he already was. Matt mused that he couldn’t tell if she was being serious, since it was like she had on a mask to protect herself. He bet that whatever was behind the mask was fascinating, and he cared about her a lot. Phyllis accepted Matt’s invitation to go on a date.

As Sienna tended to other customers, Audra asked how Noah was holding up. Audra pledged to be there if he ever needed a friend, and she squeezed his hand as Sienna jealously looked on.
