Diane Jenkins Abbott (Susan Walters) and Nikki Reed Newman (Melody Thomas Scott) have more in common these days than they’d ever like to realize or admit. Both of their marriages are on the skids thanks to the machinations of Victor (Eric Braeden), who has a vendetta against Jack Abbott (Peter Bergman).

Nikki and Diane have moved out of their respective homes as they have found they can no longer be with the men that they love. (Though in Nikki’s case, it was Victor who ordered her out!)

On Tuesday’s show, Diane is going to reject Nikki’s offer to call a truce. Is Diane thinking with her heart instead of her head? She may not like that Nikki is in Jack’s corner, but perhaps she should rethink whether or not Nikki could be her ally in addition to supporting Jack.

Holden Novak (Nathan Owens) was looking for work not that long ago. He’s been employed by Cane Ashby (Billy Flynn) in the past, but he can’t always bring himself to take Cane’s orders. Now, he may not have to. Holden has learned that he’s the son of Malcolm Winters (Shemar Moore), and there are likely going to be opportunities for him at Winters, Inc., the company partially helmed by his newfound half-sister Lily.

On Tuesday’s show, watch for Holden to inform Cane of his newfound family dynamics. Cane is no stranger to family secrets coming to light. He once posed as Phillip Chancellor III before his true identity was revealed.

Lily’s fears and concerns

Lily (Christel Khalil) was an infant the last time Dr. Stephanie Simmons (Vivica Fox) was in Genoa City. On Tuesday’s episode, a grown-up Lily is going to voice her concerns about Malcolm’s condition to the good doctor. Lily doesn’t just view Stephanie as Holden’s mom or Malcolm’s ex-girlfriend, but also as Malcolm’s doctor.

We saw Lily very upset last week as she sought out support from surrogate mom, Traci Abbott (Beth Maitland). Lily may not be a match for her dad because of her cancer treatments, but she is going to want to do everything and anything that she can to make sure that Malcolm gets the help he needs.

Lily has lost a great deal in her life. First, her mother, Drucilla (Victoria Rowell), fell to her presumed death, and then Lily lost her father, Neil (Kristoff St. John). Now, Lily is living a nightmare, fearing that she will lose her biological father to his illness. Will Stephanie be able to give Lily the answers she needs?
