Y&R MIRACLE BABY: CAN A SH0CKING PREGNANCY SAVE A SHATTERED MARRIAGE?!

Later this year, The Young and the Restless’ Abbott family will welcome a new addition. Sally told Billy that she is pregnant. Could the joy of an Abbott baby on the way help to repair Jack and Diane’s troubled marriage?

Billy (Jason Thompson) received some big news when Sally (Courtney Hope) told him she was expecting a baby. We suspect that he will be delighted to be a proud papa once again, considering the obstacles they’ve overcome as a couple this past year. He’s in a better place now that he’s finally ready to reconcile with his mother, Jill (Jess Walton).

Billy and Sally both know what it’s like to suffer the loss of a child. He and Chloe (Elizabeth Hendrickson) lost Delia when she was only seven years old. Sally and Adam (Mark Grossman) lost their newborn baby girl, Ava. That’s the kind of loss that is sure to bond Billy and Sally, so the baby they’re expecting will be extra special to them.

This joyful news is reason for the entire Abbott family to celebrate. The Abbotts have had a rough couple of years. What better way to lift everyone’s hearts than to welcome a new baby into the family? We think (and hope) that this joy will warm Diane’s (Susan Walters) heart and reunite her with Jack (Peter Bergman).

Children bring joy into families

It’s been almost five years since Kyle (Michael Mealor) learned he had a son, Harrison (Redding Munsell), with Tara Locke (Elizabeth Leiner). Since then, Jack and Diane have loved being proud grandparents. Look at all the smiles Harrison brings to everyone’s face!

So, we think that Billy and Sally’s baby will lighten the mood in the Abbott household, even though they don’t live with Jack and Diane. Let’s assume that Sally is around two months pregnant. That means The Young and the Restless writers planned it so that she will probably give birth near Thanksgiving, which is the kick-off of the holiday season.

The Abbotts always come together during the holidays. It’s a happy time for them, no matter what obstacles and struggles they dealt with all year long. They always celebrate and count their blessings on Thanksgiving. The new baby will give them yet another reason to celebrate.

The holidays are a time for family and forgiveness

Diane may be angry at Jack at the moment because she found him on a yacht in a compromising position. But even if she and Jack drift apart for a few months, by the time the baby comes, she may get swept up in the joy of the holiday season. The Christmas season is a time of self-reflection, goodwill, and forgiveness. Maybe by that time, the pain of seeing Jack in bed with Patty (Stacy Haiduk) won’t be as raw for Diane, and she will finally be ready to forgive him.

She once said she feels grateful that she’s finally been accepted by the Abbotts. Their acceptance gives her a feeling of belonging and being part of a real family, a family that looks out for each other and wants the best for each other. Sally and Billy’s new addition to the family is going to enhance that feeling for Diane and will make her realize that she misses being part of a family. She will realize that she misses Jack and the closeness that the Abbotts share.

We bet Harrison is going to be excited to welcome his new cousin into the family, and Diane and Jack are going to be excited for him. Those happy vibes will most likely rekindle the love between Diane and Jack and bring them back together. Let’s hope so, anyway.
