Jill and Sally discuss Billy’s future and the Chancellor job offer

Jill met with Sally at the Chancellor Park café, and she immediately commented on Sally’s pregnancy glow. Sally was finally through the morning sickness phase, so everything was heading in the right direction. Jill loved what Sally brought into her son’s life, but there was still something that needed to be discussed. Sally betrayed Jill’s confidence and revealed to Billy that she was the silent investor, and now she was forced to answer for it.

Sally regretted revealing the secret, but she felt compelled to come clean to Billy after they agreed not to keep anything from each other. Sally was willing to gamble her entire professional future to stay true to her promise to Billy. Luckily for her, Jill respected that move and her dedication to her son.

Sally shocked Jill by revealing that Cane offered Billy a job at Chancellor as Head of Research and Development. Jill was concerned that if Billy wasn’t in the top position, he would grow bored and resume his obsession. Sally was willing to let Billy choose his own path, so she wasn’t going to stand in his way.

Jill assured Sally that she wasn’t keeping anything from Billy, and it was all a conspiracy inside of his head. They came to the conclusion that Billy would rather believe there was a plot against him than accept that he lost control of Chancellor because of his own failures.

Victoria dropped by the ranch to speak with Victor and provided him an update on Nikki. However, she found her father outside Nikki’s room and wondered why he didn’t stick around. He didn’t want to interrupt anything, even though he was still her husband.

Despite Nikki’s fear that her eyesight would never return, she was set to be released from the hospital following a successful operation. Victoria had briefly spoken with the doctor, and she was hopeful that Nikki’s sight would return, but it wasn’t guaranteed.

On the subject of Nikki’s release from the hospital, Victoria requested that Victor allow Nikki to return home to the ranch instead of a suite at the GCAC. He had already planned on having Nikki settle in at the ranch. The bedroom was all hers whenever she was ready, much to his daughter’s delight.

Claire showed up as Victoria asked her father to stay in the room alongside Nikki, hopeful for the same. Luckily, Victor was in a generous mood and was willing to give a little when it came to his estranged wife. Nick showed up soon after with Nikki, who was thrilled to be released from the hospital.

Although Nikki hadn’t regained her eyesight, she wanted her family to stop hovering. She needed a bit of space so she could adjust to her new normal. Space didn’t mean she wanted them to leave, however, as she wanted her family by her side to help her through her current circumstances.

Diane is stunned to learn she could be charged with attempted murder

Detective Burrow and Michael arrived at the station to speak with Diane. She was desperate to get to Jack, but Patty’s story was somehow enough to convince law enforcement to slap cuffs on Diane. She pleaded with Burrow to understand that she’d never do anything to harm Jack. Diane just wanted to be at her husband’s bedside while he fought to survive.

Burrow explained that Christine felt she had enough evidence to charge Diane with attempted murder. Naturally, Diane was adamant that she had nothing to do with the attack on her husband. She was nowhere near the scene of the crime and, in fact, was a victim of Patty’s as well.

Laurence told police that Kyle and Diane drugged him, and Diane immediately did what she could to exonerate her son. She was held prisoner, and somehow Burrow and Christine were incompetent enough to believe the ramblings of a madman and a known criminal.

Burrow met with Patty next, and she slipped up by asking about Diane first instead of Jack’s condition. He wanted to speak with Patty about her sworn statement because something wasn’t adding up. Jack had previously reached out to Burrow with his belief that Patty was behind Diane’s disappearance, so he was taking a step back to reevaluate.

Laurence confessed to Burrow that although Patty wasn’t a threat to anyone’s safety, Diane was. He maintained that he found Diane on the side of the road and was forced to hold her in his home. Diane was being aggressively framed as part of the scheme concocted by Laurence and Patty.

The Abbott Family Fears the Worst

Kyle was ecstatic that his father survived surgery, even if Jack hadn’t woken up yet. All he wanted was for his dad to come back to his family and clear his mother’s name. Diane was being framed by Patty for something that everyone knew she’d never do in a million years. Jack was their best bet in getting Patty on the hook for the brutal stabbing.

Kyle thought rescuing Diane would be the end of their torment, and now both of his parents were fighting for their lives in different ways. Billy showed up at the hospital and wondered why Diane wasn’t sitting with Jack. Kyle confessed that Patty actively worked to frame his mother for the stabbing.

Diane raced through the door after being released on bail, and she told them she had indeed been charged with the crime, but her only focus was remaining by her husband’s side. Diane knew that she caused a lot of their current turmoil, but above anything, her only priority was Jack’s recovery.
