Coronation Street‘s Adam Barlow will face a huge dilemma next week, when Alya Nazir suggests her cousin Idris Nazir as a new client. With his law firm still struggling, Adam desperately needs to generate some business, but is it worth the risk?
Newcomer Idris makes his Weatherfield arrival tonight, instantly charming the locals – including Leanne Battersby – by handling some rowdy customers in Speed Daal.
But while Alya is delighted to see her cousin and grateful for his help, her boyfriend and colleague Adam remains sceptical about Idris’ hero act.
Later, viewers see Idris roughing up a shady character, from whom he demands cash, which proves Adam was right to be doubtful. However, with a lack of new cases on the horizon, could the lawyer be forced to do business with the mysterious arrival?
In scenes that will air on Tuesday 2 June, Adam reluctantly agrees to look over Idris’ files, after Alya insists he takes him on as a client. Though Adam’s doubts are still present, he considers representing the newcomer as his lawyer.
But with Idris potentially up to some dodgy dealings, could he live to regret it?
“It’s fair to say that Idris doesn’t make the best first impression on Adam,” explains our Corrie source. “They both have one thing in common – having Alya’s best interests at heart – but that doesn’t mean they get along!
