Mauricio Umansky reacted to Lisa Rinna shading Spencer Prattâs run for the Mayor of Los Angeles while appearing on Tomi Lahrenâs radio show on Wednesday.

After Lisa, 62, said that a reality star shouldnât be mayor, adding that while she â[loved]â Spencer, 44, theyâd already done that and needed someone whoâd âalready been mayor,â Mauricio, 55, a real estate mogul and the estranged husband of Kyle Richards, 57, confirmed his political affiliation while also shading the woke and standing up for the right to bear arms.
âSheâs like, âIâm not 100 percent sure, letâs have somebody thatâs already been mayor, but I donât want a reality star.â So sheâs really not willing to endorse [Karen Bass]. Sheâs not willing to say her name, but sheâs happy to say ânot a reality star.â By the way, have we had a reality star as a mayor?â Mauricio wondered on the May 27 episode of Tomi Lahren is Fearless, as Tomi confirmed they had not.
Tomi then suggested that Lisa was referring to the president, Donald Trump, 79, which sparked Mauricio to share his own political aspirations.
âLet me tell you something: Iâm a reality star, and Iâve thought many times about running for mayor. I actually think I could help the city and do some stuff. So, you know, donât be surprised if I come at this thing in a few years, on the next election,â Mauricio, who has been featured on all 15 seasons of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills, announced.
âBut yeah, I think that there are people that can do a lot of different stuff out there, and I donât know how that comparison, I donât know how sheâs comparing Spencer to Donald. Thereâs just no comparison. Theyâre two completely different people,â he added.
According to Mauricio, he was impressed by Spencerâs ability to admit that he didnât have all the answers, and he suggested he believed heâd be a successful mayor as long as he surrounded himself with the informed.
At another point on the show, Mauricio revealed he was âregistered as an independentâ but shared views with both the Republican Party and the Democratic Party.
âI lean much more Republican on the fiscal policies, without question, and I lean a little bit on the Democratic side on some of the liberal policies. Not all of them â to be clear,â he clarified. âIâm definitely not so much into this whole woke thing thatâs going on. Itâs a little bit too much. But thereâs gotta be a middle ground.â
Then speaking of the Second Amendment, which gives U.S. citizens the right to own guns, Mauricio declared, âThis is not gonna be politically correct. But, you know, I grabbed my gun ⌠People coming into my house are not going to be happy.â
Mauricio also stated that âmen are stronger than women,â deeming the statement as âjust the fact,â before pointing out that it was good to be outspoken.
âSometimes you have to be outspoken in order to start creating some change,â he explained.
No word yet on when filming begins on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 16.
