Engaged couple Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick of The Valley shared a few of their firstborn’s special moments abroad.
Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick’s baby, Kaia Lily, is racking up her travel rewards as the family heads south of the border.
Recently, The Valley mom shared an Instagram Story showing the engaged couple on a flight from Los Angeles to Puerto Vallarta, Mexico. The proud parents were all smiles with their only child bundled in her mother’s arms, adding three praying-hands emojis as baby flew fast asleep. Later, Kristen thanked “sister” and travel company, Travel Ever After, and her brother-in-law for “flying to Mexico” to help care for the 4-month-old infant for the week.
In the follow-up photo on Instagram Stories, someone held onto Kaia as she dipped her bare feet in the pool and sported a white bathing suit with strawberry print and a bucket hat to match. The first-time mom wrote, “Sometimes, I still can’t believe I have a whole baby that is beautiful, funny, smart, and brave.”
Kaia’s travels came around the same time her mom posted a few headshots on Instagram of Kaia with the caption: “More adventure days ahead.”
Many were excited for Kaia’s upcoming escapades, including The Valley’s “Auntie Britt” Brittany Cartwright, Zack Wickham, and Jesse Lally, plus Vanderpump Rules’ Scheana Shay and Shahs of Sunset’s Reza Farahan.

The engaged couple’s only child was born on June 11, 2025, a welcome arrival following Kristen’s fertility struggles, a major storyline in the sophomore season of The Valley.
At the time of Kaia’s birth, Kristen told
Us Weekly that she and Luke were “completely overwhelmed with love and so grateful,” discussing the special meaning behind the child’s unique name.Said Kristen, “We knew we wanted our baby name to have something to do, or revolve around, water,” noting that “Kaia” was the Hawaiian word for “sea.” Furthermore, “Lilies are my favorite flower. They’re associated with new beginnings, beauty, and also, the name Lily indicates a gentle and compassionate nature, suggesting a kind and caring personality.”
Are Kristen Doute and Luke Broderick having a second baby?
Kristen and Luke are up for having a second child in the future, so long as it’s in “the cards,” Kristen revealed in a July 1 interview with
Us Weekly.
Said Kristen, “We’d love to have a second baby, if that’s possible for us … I’m sure we’ll need help again with our fertility doctor. I hope that we’re lucky, but I know what to expect a little bit more next time around.”
Kristen said she understood the importance of not waiting too long, but for the time being, she wanted to shower Kaia with “all of [her] love, affection, and attention” before introducing her to a baby sister or brother.
