Gemma Collins has finally confirmed the news fans have been hoping for — 2026 will be the year everything changes.

The former The Only Way Is Essex star, 44, has revealed that she and her fiancé Rami Hawash will welcome a baby and tie the knot in 2026, marking a deeply personal milestone after years of heartbreak, resilience and public honesty about her fertility struggles.
The reality TV icon shared the emotional update as she rang in the New Year in London, enjoying what she described as her “final glass of champagne” before beginning the next chapter of her life as a mum.
“YES, I’M GETTING MARRIED… AND YES, I’M HAVING A BABY”

Gemma took to Instagram during a glamorous New Year’s Eve celebration at London’s luxury hotspot The Ned, where she joined close friends — including DJ Fat Tony — alongside Rami.
Posting a series of radiant snaps, she wrote:
“The most fantastic NYE with our faves… it was the final drink of champagne as I have a wedding to plan!! YES I’m getting married this year and YES I’m having a baby.”
She added that the night was “out of this world”, praising the venue, staff and entertainment, while hinting that 2026 would bring life-changing moments she has waited years for.
Gemma, who became engaged to Rami in 2024, is already stepmother to his seven-year-old son Tristan — a role she has previously said strengthened her desire to expand their family together.
A LONG AND PAINFUL ROAD TO THIS MOMENT
The announcement carries particular emotional weight for Gemma, who has spoken candidly for years about her battle with infertility.
She has previously revealed she has a low AMH hormone count, meaning she has a limited number of eggs, and also suffers from polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS) — a condition that directly impacts ovulation and fertility.
Tragically, Gemma has endured three miscarriages.
Her first loss occurred in 2012 — an experience she only found the strength to speak about publicly eight years later. She has described not realising she was pregnant at the time and heartbreakingly giving birth alone at home.
She suffered a second loss during the Covid pandemic in early 2020, followed by a third devastating miscarriage later that year after falling pregnant with her then-partner James Argent.
She has also shared that she was once advised to terminate a pregnancy involving an intersex baby — a deeply traumatic chapter she has spoken about with bravery and honesty.
CONSIDERING EVERY PATH TO MOTHERHOOD
After struggling to conceive naturally, Gemma previously revealed that she and Rami had discussed surrogacy, and she has also considered fostering, inspired by the fact her own mother was fostered as a child.
Despite setbacks, Gemma has remained unwavering in her determination to become a mother — and her New Year’s announcement suggests that dream is finally within reach.
THREE WEDDINGS… AND MULTIPLE DRESSES
In true Gemma Collins style, the wedding plans are anything but low-key.
The couple have already revealed they are planning three separate ceremonies:
-
A main wedding in the UK
-
A destination wedding abroad
-
A more intimate formal ceremony for close family and friends
Naturally, Gemma has also teased multiple wedding dresses, promising full GC glamour at every celebration.
HEALTH, HEALING — AND A NEW CHAPTER
Alongside her fertility journey, Gemma has also been open about her recent health challenges and dramatic weight loss.
She has lost 3.5 stone, dropping from a size 26 to a size 20, after using the weight-loss injection Mounjaro. However, she revealed she temporarily stopped the jab after suffering a painful gallbladder attack last August.
While gallstones are listed as a possible side effect of GLP-1 medications like Mounjaro, Gemma said she has now resumed treatment through microdosing, sticking to a low 2.5mg dose — the level she says suits her best.
“I don’t want to be stick thin,” she has said. “I just want to be healthier.”
Her long-term goal is to lose six stone — but she insists she is in no rush and is prioritising wellbeing as she prepares for motherhood.
A TOAST TO HOPE
As 2026 begins, Gemma Collins appears to be stepping into the future she has long dreamed of — one shaped by perseverance, healing, and hope.
After years of heartbreak played out in the public eye, the woman known as The GC is finally raising a glass not to survival — but to new life, love, and a long-awaited happy ending.
