A fresh heap of worries is placed on Fiz and Tyrone Dobbs’ doorstep when daughter Hope develops a new crush. Things are set to become complicated as Hope seemingly develops feelings for Will Driscoll following his traumatic experience of grooming and abuse at the hands of Megan Walsh.
In scenes set to air next week, Hope reveals to Will that she saw him with Megan, despite him having plucked up the courage to report her to the police, and urges him to tell his dad.
As Will picks up his coat, a note falls from his pocket, and he sees that it is Megan’s new mobile phone number as she continues to attempt to manipulate the teen.
The following day, Hope suggests to Will that the pair revise together, and Ruby tells Fiz that Hope fancies Will.
In light of the turmoil in Will’s life, Fiz advises Hope not to get involved, but she goes ahead and meets up with him for their English revision.
Eva Price listens to the pair together, pleased to hear them getting along as Hope compares Will’s love life to that of Romeo and Juliet.
But when Fiz shows up, will it burst Hope’s bubble, and will she heed her parents’ advice?
“Fiz and Tyrone have nothing against Will after everything he’s been through – they just don’t want Hope to be involved in it,” explains our Corrie source.
“Hope’s had her fair share of troubles over the years, so Fiz and Tyrone are keen to keep her on stable ground.
“We all know that Hope has an independent mind, though, and will do exactly what she wants! Are Fiz and Tyrone fighting a losing battle?”
