1. Todd’s fears for Summer escalate
Todd learns that Summer has been rushed to hospital after falling ill while in prison. When Todd arrives at Summer’s bedside, she admits she switched off her insulin pump to make herself sick because she was struggling so much at the jail.
Todd heads back to the Rovers and tells everyone what’s happened – which leaves someone looking very guilty.
2. Tyrone tells Fiz everything
Tyrone is spooked when Carl reveals that he’s getting closer to the truth about the night he was injured. Ty finally snaps and confides in Fiz, explaining that he failed to back up Summer’s story because he was protecting himself after what happened to Carl.
When Tyrone explains that the whole saga started with Carl sabotaging Kevin’s brakes, Fiz encourages him to hand over the phone footage which shows the sly schemer up to no good. Can they use the footage to their advantage?
3. Police attention shifts back to Gary
Kit still reckons that Gary has something to hide in Theo’s murder case, so warns that he’s watching him closely. This also worries Maria, since she gave Gary a false alibi for his movements that day.
Later in the week, Maria admits to Shona that something hasn’t felt quite right in her marriage for a while. Her worst fears are ultimately realised when Kit and Lisa turn up at the salon, warning that they need to go over her statement again.
4. Will’s ready to give up on his dream
Will tells Hope that he may give up on competing in athletics as his passion for sports now reminds him of being groomed by evil coach Megan. Hope urges Will to reconsider, pointing out that his talent would go to waste if he lets Megan win like this.
Sam is concerned to see his best friend Hope looking so cosy with Will, and his mind goes into overdrive.
5. Sam’s visions become more disturbing
Sam continues to think he can see a sinister version of Roy, who’s encouraging him to get rid of Will once and for all.
The terrified schoolboy insists that he’s not a violent person, so won’t consider it. The imaginary Roy accuses Sam of cowardice and storms off, insisting that their friendship is over.
6. Megan tricks Will
Will is pleased to receive a message claiming to be from one of his old friends.
He heads off to meet the person, named Lee, but realises that he’s been duped when Megan appears. Why does she want to see him?
7. Sam’s turmoil comes to a head
The imaginary Roy bombards Sam with bogus warnings that Will wants to kill him. At the café, Sam finally sees the fake Roy alongside the real one and is left totally unsure who he can trust.
Will, Nina, Nick, Toyah and Leanne gather outside the café, worried that he could place Roy in danger.
8. Carla discovers the truth
When Sam later flees and goes AWOL, Carla spots him hiding out in the Weatherfield Precinct. She tries her best to support him while discreetly reaching for her phone to message Nick.
Nick arrives at the scene and Sam makes a run for it. Reflecting on her own past experiences, Carla explains that she thinks Sam is suffering from psychosis.
9. Daniel is visited by social services
Daniel is forced to let a social worker into his home amid ongoing fears that he’s not a stable influence in Bertie’s life right now.
Later, Daniel apologises to Adam and Alya for his recent behaviour and thanks them for their support. He also admits that he thinks he knows who reported him to social services in the first place…
10. David and Jodie clash again
David struggles to find Harper’s five-month milestone card, which means that the family end up missing her planned photoshoot at the hospital.
As Shona complains about how the day has turned out, David accuses Jodie of stealing the card to cause more trouble.
11. Debbie receives an unexpected invitation
Christina, Glenda and Sally surprise Debbie with the news that they plan to take her away on holiday to Spain.
Ronnie also gets involved by summoning Debbie’s closest friends to the Rovers, where he tells them that he has an idea to help.
