West Wilson and Amanda Batula reportedly discussed marriage and exchanged “I love yous” during a weekend visit to Lake Geneva, Wisconsin.
As West, 31, suggested on his podcast that he hadn’t been fired from Summer House, but was instead put on pause for season 11, the couple, who went public in March after weeks of rumors, was photographed at a restaurant and bar, after which an insider came forward with their eyewitness account.
“Lake Geneva Gordy’s – Amanda followed West to the bathroom and she stood at the men’s room waiting for him,” the source told Deuxmoi on June 28. “Friend asked him are you getting married? And West said ‘ask her’ and Amanda said ‘yeah no’ … They were making out and said ‘I love you.’”
Meanwhile, on the June 27 episode of his Show Me Something podcast, which he co-hosts with Sophie Cunningham, 29, West confirmed that he would not be filming Summer House this summer but hinted that he could ultimately return.
“The summer … obviously, we’re taking a little time out, like I’m not filming this summer, which, I think, ultimately is the right thing for everyone. We can all … Everyone can, like, take a breather. It wouldn’t have been fun for literally anyone,” he stated.
Following the news of West’s lack of involvement with season 11, an insider spoke to Us Weekly, sharing that his departure, whether temporary or not, was a “mutual decision.”
“It became even clearer that there wasn’t a long-term fit anymore,” the source explained. “He is at peace with the decision and is focusing on his podcast and other business ventures.”
Summer House season 11 is expected to begin filming in July.
