Patty and Jack Play Power Games
Jack worried about Kyle and Diane. Patty interrupted him when he was having a drink. She told him the hot tub was on, and so was she. Patty insisted that Jack give her what she asked him to give her. Jack told Patty to turn the hot tub off. Patty advised Jack not to string her along. Jack wondered if Patty had a gun. She teased that Diane would be the one to pay.
“Threats are foreplay,” Jack cautioned Patty. She told him that she could make him happy. “Happy wife, happy life,” Patty quipped, adding she was raised Catholic, so that meant Jack was hers! Jack told Patty her levels of denial were unbelievable.
Patty claimed Jack was attracted to her. He said he regretted his past actions with her. Patty said she was no longer the same naive girl whom he once knew. Patty said Diane will pay the price if Jack doesn’t do what she wants.
Patty reminded Jack that they almost broke bed on the yacht. She told Jack that he could have whatever he wanted with her. She took his hands and rubbed them on her. Jack asked Patty if her attempts at seduction came off like desperation. Patty urged Jack to think of her as a “hall pass.” She told him to let go of his guilt.
Jack pushed Patty away. Patty shared with Jack how lonely she’d been. She called what she wanted from Jack “human need.” Patty reminded Jack that he was the reason she’d been locked up. Jack countered that Patty was locked up because of Patty — not him.
Jack said that Markham is the one calling the shots, not Patty. Jack said that Patty couldn’t hurt Diane. Patty wondered if Jack had been snooping around. Jack wondered if Patty wanted to shoot him, which set her off emotionally.
Patty said that Jack drove her towards the darkness. She remembered Diane seeing her and Jack on the yacht. Patty told Jack that Diane could stay alive if Jack made love to her. Then, she dropped her robe, revealing her (presumably) naked body.
Patty told Jack that he was being unfair. He picked up her robe and handed it to her without looking at her. Jack asked Diane if she was tired of this, wondering if she was exhausted.
Patty stated that tonight would happen. Jack told Patty, as she started to leave, that he was very selfish and cruel when he married her. He said he got past what he’d done, but she hadn’t. Patty ordered Jack to make love to her — and that didn’t mean having sex either! She wanted the real deal.
Patty let Jack know that he’d enjoy every minute of what Patty had planned. Then, she walked up the staircase to the second floor. Alone, Jack held Patty’s phone and said, “Silence.”
Mister Kitty Is Remembered

Patty had a black and white flashback to making out with a drugged Jack on the yacht. Back in real time, she said she wouldn’t want to be with him if it weren’t meant to be. She got on the bed and fantasized. Patty called out to Jack, telling him that she was ready. Jack texted Kyle, hoping he was going to rescue Diane. Then, he headed up the stairs.
Jack held up Patty’s phone to her, telling her that her password was “Kitty.” He said Diane was coming home. Jack accused Patty of losing her grip. Patty couldn’t believe Jack had tricked her, as she’d been so devoted to him. Patty wondered why Jack had broken her heart again. “There is no pride in love,” Patty told Jack.
Patty claimed that this was a sad moment for Jack as he’d just sentenced Diane to death. Patty started to call Markham on her phone.
Mother and Son Reunion

Diane, realizing that there might be a hidden camera in her room, changed her shoutout to Markham that he’s a bastard, pretended to call her husband, Jack, the awful word. Diane heard some noise. She was thrilled to see Kyle standing before her as he’d broken into Markham’s home.
Diane asked Kyle how he got in there. Kyle updated his mom on Dr. Markham’s lies to Jack. Diane said that Markham would be back. Kyle said that Jack texted the doctor from Patty’s phone. Kyle said he gave Markham’s dogs beef, but if they try to escape now, they’ll be their next meal.
Diane suggested she find something to feed the dogs while Kyle tried to break them out. Then, Diane heard the dogs barking. She surmised that Markham was back. Diane urged Kyle to be safe. Kyle insisted on staying with her, but Diane said Markham could have a gun.
Kyle opted to hide just as Markham entered the house, locking the door behind him. Markham noticed that Diane was flushed. He wanted to know what was going on while he was away.
Diane tried to woo Markham with flattery. She added that she was fixing dinner. It was her turn to take care of him. Diane told Markham to sit down. She poured him a drink and brought up transference — where a patient falls for his/her doctor. Diane left to check on dinner.
After she left, Markham called Patty on his phone. Kyle overheard Markham talking to Patty as he told her that after tonight, the whole situation had to change.
The Doctor Is Out, Like a Light

Markham munched on Diane’s appetizers. Diane asked for a glass of wine. Markham went to pour it while Kyle remained hidden. Diane continued to distract Markham with her thoughts on transference. Markham started to fall for Diane’s words.
Diane asked if any attraction she might have was making him feel uncomfortable. Markham told Diane that she was beautiful. She added resourceful. Diane advised him to lie down as the medication was starting to settle. Diane called Kyle to come out. Markham acted all woozy.
Markham took a seat. Diane observed that he was out. She took Markham’s keys and gave them to Kyle. He started trying keys to open the front door.
Diane ripped into an unconscious Markham. She was startled by his phone ringing. Diane answered Patty’s call. A shocked Patty left Jack’s bedroom. Jack picked up Patty’s phone and talked to Diane. They were relieved to talk to each other. Diane hung up. Kyle opened the door, and they left Markham’s house.
Kyle and Diane called Jack from Kyle’s car. They told Jack that Diane had drugged Markham. Jack told Diane that he couldn’t wait to see her. He hung up the phone. Jack was shocked to see Patty standing there in the Abbott dining room with him.
Diane told Kyle that she never gave up hope. She was thrilled to be on her way home. Kyle wondered if that meant the Athletic Club or the Abbott mansion. He told her that she didn’t have to decide right then. Diane said she wanted to go home to Jack.
Love Hurts

Back at the Abbott mansion, Jack told Patty that he thought she had left. Patty said that Jack had just broken her heart again. She grabbed him, kissed him, and then stabbed him. Jack fell to the floor as Patty hugged him and told him that she loved him. She took the knife out of his body as blood spilled onto the carpet.
