DAVID AND SHONA’S BABY JOY SHATTERED BY SARAH’S MURDER CONFESSION!

Coronation Street‘s David and Shona Platt are left delighted next week when they find out that their baby daughter Harper can come home from the hospital.

Their joy is cut short, though, when the troubling news of Sarah Platt’s murder confession reaches them. Will this overshadow the happy occasion?

Viewers know that Harper has spent months in hospital after being born prematurely – with more than a few terrifying close calls along the way. So it’s wonderful news when the Platts learn that Harper is finally being given the all-clear to come home to her family…

“It’s been a rough few months for David and Shona, and they’re really relieved that they’re finally going to welcome their baby girl home,” explains our Corrie spy.

“Their family will finally be complete, and Lily will get to bond with her little sister at long last! It’s the moment that David and Shona have prayed for.”

Just as the proud parents celebrate their tot’s milestone they get some news that knocks them for six – Sarah has confessed to Theo Silverton’s murder and has been taken into custody to be charged with the crime!

“When word of Sarah’s shock murder confession reaches them, it totally turns their world upside down and leaves little room for further celebration,” continues our source.

“David’s do-gooder big sis committing murder isn’t something he could ever have predicted!”

As the gossip about Sarah ripples through Weatherfield, how will David and Shona react to the life-changing revelation that their daughter’s doting aunty is actually a cold-blooded killer?

“In an ideal world, Sarah would be home with the rest of the Platts on such an important day,” continues our insider.

“Sadly, she ends up being held on remand in prison as she waits to hear her fate. There’s a real danger that life for the Platt clan may never be the same after this…”

Corrie revealed Sarah as Theo’s killer last month and next week’s episodes see her confess after the police figure out her guilt and bring her into custody.
