ARIANA Grande has appeared to confirm that she’s back with her ex Ricky Alvarez following her split from Ethan Slater earlier this year.
The pair have fueled rumors of a reconciliation after recently being spotted together as well as liking each other’s posts on social media.
Ariana, 33, and Ricky, 35, first got together in April 2015 and broke up just over a year later.
Now the singer has seemingly confirmed their reunion by changing the lyrics of her hit song, Thank U, Next.
The hit 2018 song was inspired by her famous exes, Big Sean, Pete Davidson, the late Mac Miller and Ricky.
It went on to become a powerful anthem for women moving on their former partners.
While performing on Monday evening in Brooklyn for her Eternal Sunshine tour, she changed the lyrics to “Wrote some songs about Ricky, we always find our way back”.
The original lyrics are “Wrote some songs about Ricky, now I listen and laugh”.
Ariana and Ricky have been spotted together on several occasions over the last month.
They further fueled rumors that they were dating again after she took to Instagram to like every one of his posts on the social media platform.
The two first met over a decade ago when he was a backup dancer for her Honeymoon Tour.
She confirmed they were dating during a 2016 interview with Billboard as she admitted she was in a very happy and healthy place.
They dated for over a year but parted ways in mid-2016 but stayed supportive of one another.
It was announced last month that Ariana had split from Ethan earlier this year after three years together.
The two, who starred in the Wicked films together, got together in controversial circumstances.
Ariana split from her ex-husband Dalton Gomez in 2023 after almost three years of marriage.
Around the same time, Ethan went through a messy divorce from Lilly Jay, his wife of five years, just a year after the birth of their son, Ezra.
Despite rumours alleging Ethan’s romance started with Ariana on the set of Wicked while he was still married to Lilly, sources close to the pop star insisted the couple had been separated for two months.
Ethan and Ariana moved in together in New York in 2023 — before her divorce was finalised.
She defended her man publicly in a Vanity Fair interview in 2024 amid criticism of the way his previous relationship ended.
Ariana said: “No one on this earth tries harder or spreads themselves thinner to be there for the people that he loves and cares about.”
And she admitted that the narrative had hurt her, adding: “The most disappointing part was to see so many people believe the worst version of it.”
