There’s just a month to go before Christmas – and the countdown starts right here, as Coronation Street reveals the biggest storylines set to air over the festive period.
Show bosses are promising “drama, secrets and shocking revelations” over the Yuletide season, so here’s your handy guide to who’ll be taking centre stage…
1. Maggie plots against Eva
Secrets cast a shadow over The Rovers, just weeks after the return of Eva and the arrival of the new Driscoll family. Eva is now hiding something – and Susie’s innocent wish to have a sibling soon sends her mum spiralling.
Maggie grows increasingly suspicious when she finds a hidden letter and spots a tender moment between Eva and Adam, as the worried landlady confides in her ex-partner.
Showing what she’s capable of, ruthless Maggie makes it her mission to oust Eva and promises a Christmas dinner that no-one will forget.
2. Showdown at The Rovers
Adam and Alya are among those invited to The Rovers for Christmas dinner, alongside new couple Daniel and Megan. This upsets Will, who’s being secretly groomed by Megan and struggles with her decision to use Daniel as a cover.
“Gifts have shattering consequences, while accusations and revelations mean fists fly,” our Corrie source teases.
“As one member of the Driscoll family is thrown out of the pub, a brutal attack on another attendee of the Christmas dinner from hell leaves someone unconscious in the ginnel.”

3. Becky schemes – but where is Carla?
Following Lisa’s split from Carla, things are looking up for Becky – but perhaps not for long! Costello shows signs of improvement after being attacked, which drives Becky to drastic measures to cover her tracks. It soon becomes clear that Costello’s life is still in serious jeopardy.
Meanwhile, a series of social media posts from Carla reveal that she’s having a ball in Lanzarote, away from the drama of the cobbles. But are these carefree messages really all that they seem?
4. Kit closes in on Becky
Becky steps up her manipulation as she targets both Lisa and Betsy, wanting to create “the perfect Christmas” for them all now that Carla is out of the picture.
Fortunately, Kit is on the case as he tries to expose Becky’s deception once and for all. Can he solve the mystery by deciphering some jumbled messages from Costello? And if so, what will this mean for Becky?
5. A shock death rocks the Websters
Debbie’s hen party takes a disastrous turn as the Webster family receive news of a shocking death. The bombshell is particularly tough for Carl to deal with, as he reels from the revelation.
Meanwhile, Debbie could be hiding a terrible secret that threatens to destroy her happiness, just as she’s preparing to walk down the aisle with Ronnie.
6. Carl risks being caught out
Carl drowns his sorrows following the recent tragedy and is drawn back to James.
It’d be devastating for Abi if she knew about her charming partner sneaking around like this – will she finally discover the truth about his bed-hopping?
With the walls closing in, will Carl even stick around long enough to see Debbie’s dream wedding day – which will include a performance with the dementia choir?
7. Billy becomes concerned over Todd
Theo’s controlling and abusive behaviour intensifies over the Christmas period, which heaps more misery on poor Todd. A birthday party goes wrong in emotional scenes, leaving Todd stranded, freezing and alone.
Billy is starting to become very concerned over what may be happening behind closed doors, but will Todd finally accept the truth about Theo’s disturbing behaviour? Show bosses are highlighting a shock turn of events on New Year’s Eve, which could mean Todd and Theo’s relationship takes another unexpected twist.
8. Sally supports the Michealis clan
Sally and Tim make it their priority to give Joanie and Shanice a wonderful Christmas, after everything they’ve been through with Mick and Lou this year.
The girls are unable to visit Lou in prison, which is tough for them to accept – but caring foster parent Sally has a heartwarming plan in store.
9. Gail’s cameo
Corrie chiefs have officially confirmed Gail’s return scenes, which will come in the form of a Christmas message to her family.
