Coronation Street‘s Sydney Martin has shared a series of sweet pictures from a holiday with a few of her co-stars. The actor, who plays Betsy Swain on the soap, has been enjoying some time away with Liam McCheyne (Dylan Wilson) and Ryan Prescott (Ryan Connor).
Taking to Instagram, Sydney posted a reel of snaps from the sun-soaked trip, writing in the comments: “Highly recommend going on your holibobs with your work family <3.”
On screen mum Vicky Myers (Lisa) shared love in the comments with two heart emojis.
Of course, fans will know that the trio’s characters are all linked within the show, with Betsy and Dylan together as a couple, while Ryan lives with the Connor-Swains.
There is also a big issue-based storyline to come for Betsy and Dylan this year, with huge emotions expected for the young couple amid the coming-of-age plot.
“Dylan and Betsy have been through a lot together,” Sydney told Inside Soap earlier this year. “There’s beautiful moments to come. They’re polar opposites; she’s this ticking time bomb that could go off at any time, and he’s quite grounded and sweet.
“That can create some quite funny scenes, because there’s that natural comedic element of them being so different, but also some beautiful ones. I’m also excited for Liam to get his chance to shine.”
She added: “It’s always been great to support my on-screen mums and family, now I get to pave my own way. I’ve been working hard, so I’m really excited for people to see it. It’s going to be a busy summer.”
Meanwhile, Vicky revealed that Lisa will be “massively” involved in the story, teasing: “What’s to come is huge and I’m looking forward to getting started with it. That is extremely powerful but I can’t say much about it. It is going to be brilliant.”
