Prime Video’s Teen Summer Hit Is Still Breaking Hearts Weeks After Finale

The last few months certainly have proven that teenage novel adaptations continue to be an incredibly safe bet when it comes to viewership numbers. The third and final season of The Summer I Turned Pretty kicked off in the middle of July and quickly picked up audiences left and right as fans tuned in to find out how the love triangle at the center of the story would shake out. Meanwhile, another book-to-screen adaptation was already tearing up Prime Video’s Top 10 chart thanks to the June 18 arrival of We Were Liars. During their crossover time, both productions would give the summer’s gritty action thrillers a run for their money, with the teen dramas consistently coming out on top.

Just days after the series finale, it was revealed that Amazon MGM Studios had given the green light for a film that will likely cover the rest of Jenny Han’s books, with Belly and Conrad pursuing their romance and living happily ever after — with a few bumps along the way, of course.
