Real Housewives of Beverly Hills husband Mauricio Umansky has exposed the direct message he sent to The Valley star Lala Kent in an attempt to prove he wasnât being flirtatious with her.
The drama began when Lala spoke out on her Give Them Lala podcast, alleging that Mauricio had asked her to grab a coffee after she mentioned his separation from Kyle Richards.
âI donât even know if I should be sharing this,â she shared. âIt happened so long ago. I have to say, when I was doing the podcast with [Easton Burningham] and my old assistant, [Jessica Walter], I got the weirdest DM,â she recalled. âAnd I was talking about Kyle and Mau at this time, and this was like at the height of them not really knowing what they were doing. But I got a DM of him saying something along the lines of, you know, I talk about him on my podcast, and he would like to grab a coffee.â
Lala noted she decided not to answer him.
âI just never opened it or responded,â she claimed. âLike, thereâs not a chance.â
TMZÂ obtained the direct message he sent her on February 24, 2024, and it said the following: âHey Lala, how are you? Hey I am wondering since you seem to have an opinion and speculations about me as to whether I am a player or not I would like to talk to you.â
âLet me know if you are up for that. By phone or happy to get a coffee?â he added.
On May 12, TMZ caught up with Mauricio, and he spoke about the situation with Lala.
âOh man, sheâs such a f*cking liar, itâs not even funny, dude. Like, really? I was thinking about actually posting the post. But Iâm gonna tell you, sheâs a liar,â he said.
âI did message her because she was talking sh*t and I said, âHey, you wanna talk sh*t about me, Iâll f*cking talk to you.â And she said in the podcast she never opened the text,â he continued. âThe last word on my text, and itâs a long text, says, âLetâs have coffee.â And in her podcast, she says, âI invited you to have coffee.â The only way that she knew that I invited her to have a coffee is if she wouldâve opened the f*cking text.â
When speaking to TMZ, Mauricio said he wasnât sure he would end up sharing the message publicly but may âdecide to post it.â
âI donât want to talk s*it about her, but thatâs f*cking bullsh*t, man,â he added.
